KNC values and appreciates the positive contributions of everyone―including people with various disabilities. For long we have seen these people begging on our streets.
This is not acceptable and should not be allowed to go on. All members of society have the right to make a life for themselves and to add to their communities.
KNC wishes to state that it will improve the quality of care for Kenyans with disabilities, including health care services- passing of laws that will force the government to provide/ care for the people with extreme disabilities like mental illness, blindness etc.
It will also entail making significant investments in vocational rehabilitation services to help with job training, education, and placement and increased funding for the Individuals with Disabilities.
KNC will ensure the civil rights of Kenyans with disabilities are protected and develop educational programs that provide ample resources for all beneficiaries to succeed.
